Order texts from shops on Cobble

SMS Terms & Consent

Cobble runs online ordering for local shops, bakeries and restaurants. When you ask for them at checkout, the shop you ordered from texts you updates about your order from its own number, registered in the shop’s name. Every text starts with the shop’s name.

Program description

Each shop on Cobble sends order updatesfrom its own number about an order you placed with it, only if you asked for them at checkout. Cobble is the ordering platform that sends them for the shop. No marketing or promotional texts, and no shared or bought lists. Each shop’s own texting terms are on its site, linked from the box.

Messages you may receive

Order confirmed: your order has been received
Ready for pickup: your order is ready
Delivery updates: driver assigned, on the way, delivered
Order cancelled or refund issued

How you opt in

At checkout on a shop’s Cobble ordering page. Once you enter your mobile number, this unticked box appears below it, with the shop’s name (here, an example shop):

Place order

The box is unticked by default, so the customer must tick it themselves, and you can order without it. Consent is never a condition of purchase. The yes is kept with the order: the number, the tick, and when the order was placed.

Message frequency

Message frequency varies: usually 1 to 3 texts per pickup order and 2 to 5 per delivery. Texts are only about orders you place.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

How to opt out and get help

To stop messages

Reply STOPto any text. You’ll get one confirmation and no more texts from that shop. Reply START to sign up again.

Mobile numbers are used only to send the order updates you asked for. We do not share, sell, rent or transfer mobile numbers, SMS opt-in data or text messaging consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
